China's foreign trade half-year data analysis in 2025: exports to the United States show a downward trend

According to the information of the press conference held by the State Council Information Office on July 14, the General Administration of Customs announced the import and export situation of China's trade in goods in the first half of the 2025 year. In the first half of China's total trade in goods amounted to 21.79 trillion yuan, an increase of 2.9%. Analyzing from the perspective of trade partners, in the first half of the year, China's trade with the European Union amounted to 2.82 trillion yuan, an increase of 3.5%, with an average daily trade volume of more than 15 billion yuan, which is equivalent to the total volume of trade in the early years of diplomatic relations for an entire year. Trade with other BRICS countries and partner countries amounted to 6.11 trillion yuan, up 3.9% year-on-year, accounting for 28.1% of the total value of China's foreign trade.At the same time, trade with countries along the "Belt and Road" amounted to 11.29 trillion yuan, up 4.7% year-on-year, accounting for 51.8% of the total value of foreign trade. 51.8%.
